HH&M is the leading firm in Kenya in relation to project and privatisation work.  We have considerable experience in advising on restructuring of state corporations, setting up of legal and regulatory frameworks and eventual privatisations by way of sale to strategic partners, concessions or IPOs.  Richard Omwela and Paras Shah are experts in privatisation work

We have been involved with most of the privatisations of state corporations in Kenya, including the privatisations of Telkom Kenya Limited in 2007, Kenya Reinsurance Corporation. KenGen, Mumias Sugar Company Limited, Kenya Posts and Telecommunications Corporation, Kenya Railways Corporation, Kenya Airways Limited and National Bank Limited.  We have also advised in respect of the restructuring of airports in Kenya.

Regionally, we are involved in privatisation work in Rwanda.

We also have the capacity and do from time to time advise procuring entities on preparation of tender documents as well as the conduct of evaluation leading to the award of tenders.

HH&M is also active in large infrastructure deals, including the East African Submarine Cable and Hydro Power Projects in East Africa.
