Hamilton Harrison & Mathews, founded in 1902, is one of the oldest and largest law firms in Kenya with 9 partners and 17 qualified associates as well as several Para-legal and legal clerical staff.

Awards and Recognitions

HH&M has been recognised as a leading corporate and commercial law firm in Kenya by Chambers Global, International Financial Law Review and Corporate PLC’s Which Lawyer? and World Trade Mark Review as the leading law firm in Kenya in the respective fields in which it practices.

Indeed Ken Fraser, Richard Omwela, Kiragu Kimani, Adil Khawaja, Paras Shah, Andrew Mugambi and Michi Kirimi have each been individually recognised by some of these publications as leading lawyers in Kenya in their areas of practice.

HH&M was, for the second year running, awarded the “Best Legal Transaction Advisor of the Year” award for 2010 at the 2nd Capital Markets Awards Gala in Nairobi on 26th January 2011.

HH&M had received the same award for 2009 at the inaugural Capital Markets Awards Gala.

In June 2010 and again in January 2011, Paras Shah was awarded the International Law Office Client Choice Award as the best general corporate lawyer in Kenya.  This is an international award given to lawyers in several jurisdictions, after nominations from clients.

In January 2011, Kiragu Kimani, was awarded the International Law Office Client Choice Award as the best dispute resolution lawyer in Kenya.
